A new trend in the interiors industry is the modernisation of flooring transitions.
Designers are doing away with the traditional approach of using a ‘transition strip’ (a narrow border between carpet, tiles or floorboards), opting for a more interesting approach of mixing different materials and finishes to blur the lines between set spaces. Typically a café or restaurant application, this method is slowly making its way into the mainstream, with clients using this style to give a more interesting, relaxed look to their interiors.
