In July 2016 the first YarraBend product was brought to market with the release of Parkview House and Land. These architecturally designed homes by Rothelowman and Point Architects were incredibly well received and it was this high demand for YarraBend living which spurred the early release of Parkview Townhouses only a few months later.
An information evening about the upcoming release of Parkview Townhouses was announced to our database in October 2016. With an anticipated 100 attendees, the Glenvill team had to act quickly after attendee numbers rapidly grew within 24 hours. With no choice but to cap attendance at 300 and switch venue to accommodate the overwhelming response, the team knew something big was coming. Subsequently, we decided to release Stage One of our Parkview townhouses to the market early. With a decision to announce this exclusively to our database via email only, an EDM was sent out about the early release and the opportunity to submit a paid expression of interest. Again, the response was overwhelming with paid EOI’s almost tripling the amount of product on offer after just a few hours of opening.
At 9am on Saturday the 26th of November hundreds of eager buyers gathered at the YarraBend display suite to secure their pick of the 29 townhouses on offer. Our paid EOI’s quickly snapped up their preferences, selling out Stage One almost immediately. The decision was quickly made to release Stage 2 to market, comprising another 30 townhouses. By midday that day, just 3 hours after opening, another 25 townhouses were sold, giving our Parkview Townhouse sales a total of 55 out of 59 and a sell through rate of 95%. An astonishing result given the only form of advertising was via emails to the exclusive Glenvill database, and a further testament to Melbourne’s confidence in YarraBend and the Glenvill brand.
52 of our 55 sales were to local buyers, comprising mainly young couples and young families. We were also excited to see sales reach beyond Victoria, with two New Zealand families and one Tasmanian set to make the move to YarraBend.
With works scheduled to begin in 2017, our Parkview residents are expected to move in by mid to late 2018.
