The 120 year old former brick manufacturing kilns sat derelict for more than 20 years as part of the Hoffman Brickworks site in Brunswick.

Considered too hard for most, Glenvill Projects were approached by the client and asked to be involved in investigative works to establish a suitable building methodology and eventually the build for the conversion of the kilns into 26 brand new modern apartments.

Detailed engineering investigations and close consultation with Heritage Victoria was undertaken before design works were completed. Glenvill Projects were tasked with the delicate exercise of deconstructing and then rebuilding the site, utilizing many of the original materials.

Works were completed over a 12 month period into what is now the centerpiece of the development paying respect to its past and function to its future.
